SEPARATION OF BORON ISOTOPES

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4745904
Boron-10 is separated from boron-11 by heating a liquid complex of boron trifluoride and anisole. A countercurrent flow of one of the dissociation products, gaseous boron trifluoride, with the liquid complex results in the concentration of boron-10 in the liquid complex and boron-11 in the boron trifluoride.
