A CHEMICAL METHOD FOR THE SEPARATION OF BORON ISOTOPES (in Russian)

A chemical exchange method has been proposed for separating boron isotopes using BF/sub 3/ and a liquid complex compound of BF/sub 3/ decomposing at low temperatures. The system of BF/sub 3/ and anisole was used, and some of its properties have been investigated. A novel countercurrent arrangement was tested for separating boron isotopes based on the chemical exchange between BF/ sub 3/ and its anisole complex. The method may be used for production of B/sup 10/-enriched boron on an industrial scale. (tr-auth)
