ENERGY DEPENDENCE OF THE DEUTERON ELASTIC SCATTERING FOR NUCLEI IN THE REGION OF A = 40

Disappearance of the third maximum in the angular distribution patterns for nuclei with mass numbers of about 40 is investigated by studying angular distributions of deuterons elastically scattered from Al, S, Ca, and Ti at energies from 10 to 13 Mev. Curves of scattering cross sections and tables of target thicknesses are included. (D.C.W.)
