An apparatus, planned and constructed in the Laboratory of Physics of the Istituto Superiore di Sanita is described, which provides for the examination of radium tubes and needles used for therapeutic purposes and their selection and distribution in different containers. The apparatus acts semiautomatically, allows the work to be done at a greatly increased speed, and at the same time guarantees the protection of the operator. (auth)
