A review is presented of the problems raised in Large Radiation Sources in Industry, Proceedings of a Conference on the Application of Large Radiation Sources in Industry, and Especially to Chemical Processes'', organized by the International Atomic Energy Agrncy, Warsaw, September 8 to 12, 1959; Wien, 1960. A total of 62 references listed in the proceedings are grouped into nine divisions and the general conclusions of each reference are presented. The nine groupings are: large radiation sources and methods of using them; arrangements for the use of Co/sup 60/ and other sources; determining the energy of decomposition fragments in chemical processes; the influence of irradiation on artificial products and elastomers; polymerization and bonding induced by irradiation; ionizing radiation and chemical reactnons; various applications of irradiation; application of radiation to food preservation; and economy of radiological processes. Three review articles written since the time of the conference are also discussed. Finally, the IAEA program of source normalization is briefly discussed. (TTT)
