Preferred Orientation and Anisotropy Ratio of Pyrolytic Graphite

Journal Article · · Applied Physics Letters
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1753807· OSTI ID:4739730

The preferred orientation index not only characterizes the crystallite alignment in pyrolytic graphites (PG), but provides a straightforward means of investigating the effects of preferred orientation on the anisotropy ratio of bulk properties. Electrical and thermal anisotropies of commonly available PG cannot be considered indicalive of ideal structures. (C. E.S.)
