THE STRUCTURE OF EXTENSIVE AIR SHOWERS AT THE SEA LEVEL

Journal Article · · J. Phys. Soc. Japan
OSTI ID:4739419
BS>A large and complex device, which included detectors for charged particles, mu mesons, and nuclear active particles and covered an area of 4 hectares, was used to study the structure of extensive air showers for three years. Fluctuations of various components of the showers and agreement of the experimental data obtained with theoretical predictions are discussed. (A.G.W.)
