GETTING SUBNANOSECOND PRECISION IN COAX CABLE DELAY MEASUREMENTS

Journal Article · · Electronics (U.S.)
OSTI ID:4733307
A method for determining delay times of coaxial cables by sending a pulse down the line and having the reflected pulse retrigger the puise generator to produce sustained oscillations is described. The resulting pulse repetition rate is proportional to cable delay and can be measured with a digital pulse counter. (M.C.G.)
