MONITORING OCCUPATIONAL RADIATION EXPOSURE IN MEDICINE

Journal Article · · Industrial Medicine and Surgery (U.S.)
OSTI ID:4733115
The personnel dosimetry of medical workers is discussed in the light of modern protection standards for both controlled and uncontrolled individuals. The advantages, as well as the disadvantages, of the use of pocket ion chambers and film badges for the surveillance of this type of radiation problem is reviewed. The authors conclude that the film badge offers the best approach to this type of personnel dosimetry. (Public Health Engineering Abstracts, 42: No. 10, Oct. 1982).
