ON INELASTIC DIFFRACTION PROCESSES AT HIGH ENERGIES (in Russian)

It is demonstrated that the cross sections for inelastie processes due to diffraction of fast particles on nuclei can be calculated on the basis of the diagram technique. Vertex functions are obtained which describe elastic diffractional scattering and which should be inserted in the diagrams for inelastic diffractional processes. The differential and total cross sections for diffractional production of pi mesons and strange particles by interaction between fast protons and nuclei and also for diffractional nucleon --antinucleon pair production due to last pi -meson encounters with nuclei and diffractional pi -meson pair production by high energy gamma quanta are calculated on the basis of the black spherical nucleus model.
