THE LIQUID HYDROGEN BUBBLE CHAMBER CBH-81: THERMAL CONTROL (in French)

Journal Article · · Onde Elec.
OSTI ID:4729245
The temperature in the hydrogen bubble chamber must be controlled within 0.1 deg between 24 and 28 deg K, and the temperature chosen must be maintained constant and homogeneous within plus or minus 0.05 deg . The thermal insulation used to help maintain those temperatures is illustrated. The design of the pressure control and its characteristics are discussed. In conclusion, the problems posed by the liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen circuits are considered. (J.S.R.)
