Previous studies of nonlinear plasma oscillations without magnetic field showed taat ion longitudinal oscillations are stable in relation to arbitrary one- dimensional perturbations while electron Langmuir oscillations are unstable. It is confirmed taat the above holds not only for one-dimensional perturbations but for any type of perturbation. (R.V.J.)
