A CHANGE IN RADIOACTIVE PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION FOR RECOIL TRITIUM REACTIONS IN THE SOLID PHASE AT - 196 C

Journal Article · · Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry (England) Merged with Inorg. Nucl. Chem. Lett. to form Polyhedron
A series of experiments was performed in which recoil tritium atoms from the Li/sup 6/(n, alpha )T reaction were reacted with trans-butene-2 at 20, -- 78, and -- 196 un. Concent 85% C. The tritium distribution in the products was similar at 20 and --78 un. Concent 85% C, but the distribution at -- 196 un. Concent 85% C showed a decrease in CH/sub 3/CH = CHT and an increase in n-C/sub 4/ H/sub 9/T. Several possible causes for the changes are discussed. (D.L.C.)
