The thermal and the epithermal parts of the neutron spectrum in the Westcott flux notation are calcuiated from the activities of foils irradiated bare and Cd covered. Detectors of Au, Mn, Co, W, and In were irradiated in the center of the water-boiler, DR 1. In addition, a semidifferential method is presented from which the shape of the epithermal neutron spectrum can be determined from activation measurements. (auth)
