CHANGE IN EFFECT OF EPINEPHRINE AND NOREPINEPHRINE ON BLOOD PRESSURE IN IRRADIATED ANIMALS

Journal Article · · Casopis Lekaru Ceskych
OSTI ID:4724296
The effects of epinephrine and norepinephrine on blood pressure in rats and mice exposed to 600 r and rabbits exposed to 1000 r were studied. Intravenous toxicity increased and blood pressure effects in anesthesia decreased (with epinephrine, no decrease at very high doses). No change in effects on the isolated heart was noted. It was speculated that changes were of central origin, possibly also due to increased epinephrine sensitivity of the heart. (P.C.H.)
