SOMATIC HAZARDS OF RADIATION

The somatic effects of radiation on man are discussed. Data from animal studies and available data on human populations are reviewed. It is pointed out that somatic effects of radiation include cancer, leukemia, and degenerative changes similar to those observed in aging. (C.H.)
