A DEVICE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF TRACK IONIZATION IN BUBBLE CHAMBERS

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instr. Methods
An apparatus for measuring the integral distribution of gap lengths along a bubble chamber track is described. The film is placed on the stage of an Abbe comparator, which moves with constant velocity past a mark. An electronic system receives and records signals when the beginning and end of a gap pass through the mark. From the distribution thus obtained, an electronic computer calculates the relative track ionization. (A.G.W.)
