25 Mc/s SCALERS WITH FLEXIBLE PRINT-PUNCH FACILITIES

A transistor 25-Mc six decade scaler and a flexible print-punch system that will handle up to 30 scalers are described, and a block diagram of the whole system is shown. The scaler is a plug-in unit to use in a CERN standard crate. Up to four scalers can be used with one power supply. The print-punch facilities can provide printing or punching separately or simultaneously. The system was designed for use in counter experiments with particle accelerators. It has performed correctly and reliably at CERN. (A.G.W.)
