ABSENCE OF INTERACTION BETWEEN NITROGEN MUSTARD AND VISIBLE RADIATION IN MUTATION INDUCTION IN NEUROSPORA CRASSA

Journal Article · · Radiation Botany
ABS>Conidia of the purple-adenineless mutant of Neurospora crassa (38701) were exposed to red or far red light after exposure to nitrogen mustard or far red light preceding treatment with nitrogen mustard. No significant alterations in survival, the induction of mutants expressed by abnormal colony formation, or reversions to adenine prototrophy could be ascribed to the visible radiations. (auth)
