BS>By means of radioactive indicators, features peculiar to proliierative processes in the bone marrow during acute radiation sickness in dogs, monkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice were studied. Intracellular synthetic processes became disturbed during the first hours after irradiation. Restoration of the cellular composition of the bone marrow occurred earlier than the normalization of intracellular syntheses; 5 to 8 months after irradiation in normai and hematological indexes the inclusion of radioactive precursors was still diminished.
