Splitting of Two-Quasi-Particle Levels in Even-Even Nuclei; RASSHCHEPLENIE DVUKHKVAZICHASTICHNYKH UROVNEI V CHETNO-CHETNYKH YADRAKH

An attempt is made to account for the splitting of the two-quasiparticle levels in even-even nuclei by means of the central interaction of the unpaired nucleons. It has been shown that the main contribution to the splitting energy is given by the exchange forces, the state with antiparallel nucleon spins being the lowest one by its energy. The presence of the spin forces leads to the decrease of the splitting energy. If the spin forces are 25% of the total pairing forces, then the splitting disappears. The splitting of the two- quasiparticle level is symmetrical only when K = 0. (auth)
