A method for the decontamination of solutions of aged fission products by the precipitation of a hydroxidecarbonate-dlpicrylaminate mixture was proposed. The volume of extremely radioactive wastes was greatly reduced, and its storage or disposal was simplified. From the precipitation of the corrosion and fission products, the Cs/sup 137/ was isolated by extraction of dipicrylaminate with acetone. Further purification is possible. (tr-auth)
