LOW-ENERGY PROCESS $gamma$ + p $Yields$ K$sup +$ + $Sigma$$sup 0$

The reaction gamma + p and up to st r /occurred in pu /sup 0/ + K/ sup +/ is discussed using the model developed in a previous paper. For odd-K / occurred in pu parity the differential cross section can be accounted for by the one-nucleon pole term and the K and K* exchange terms. With this model it is very difficult to fit the data for evenK /occurred in pu parity. The coupling constant found for odd-K /occurred in pu parity is g/sub /occurred in pu NK// sup 2//4 e (as Fe/sup 59 preliminary te 4.5, very close to the value g/sub in each case). NK//sup 2//4 e (as Fe/sup 59 preliminary te 4.0 found in the previous paper. (auth)
