MEAN LIFETIME OF THE FIRST EXCITED STATE OF Na$sup 2$$sup 3$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
The mean lifetime of the first excited state of Na/sup 23/ was measured by nuclear resonant scattering. Ne/sup 23/ produced by the Ne/sup 22/(d,p) reaction served as the source of exciting radiation. Assuming the spin of this state to be 5/2, the mean life obtained is (1.3 plus or minus 0.3) x 10/sup -12/ sec. (auth)
