ELASTIC SCATTERING OF 1 Mev NEUTRONS

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
Differential elastic scattering cross-sections for 1 Mev neutrons were measured for twenty elements using the time-of-flight technique. Ten rare earth elements were included to fill a large gap in previous data in an interesting region of mass number. The measurements were individually corrected for flux attenuation and multiple scattering by a Monte Carlo method. The rasults are compared with the predictions of the Bjorklund-Fernbach optical method. (auth)
