A PYROLYTIC CAPSULE DESIGN FOR FILM FORMATION STUDIES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4715330
The Pyrolytic Capsule Fouling Test (PCFT) apparatus which was built to study organic fiim formation on a heated surface under gamma irradiation, is described. Preliminary testing of the capsule and auxiliary equipment indicated that film formation studies couid be made with the apparatus under closely controlled conditions, with or without gamma irradiation. In addition, the capsule was useful for heat transfer studies. (auth)
