METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STABILIZING THE GAIN OF PHOTOMULTIPLIER TBES

The gain of a photomuitiplier tube with n dynodes located between the anode and the photocathode can be stabilized by feeding n-1 dynodes from a voltage divider connected to the high voitage source supplying the anode and photocathode and by feeding a stabilizing voitage to the remaining dynode through a prescribed network connected between the voltage source terminals. Adjustment of the network is very simple. (D.C.W.)
