A review is given on the separation of rare earths by chromatography, electrophoresis, extraction, and electrolysis in various materials, such as ashes, ores, minerals, and metals. Types of spectrographs and generators that could be used in various problems of analysis, and the possibilities of applications for solving some problems of analysis of rare earths are also reported.
