By incorporating several temporary store circuits, the dead time of a multichannel pulse height analyzer with a delay line memory was reduced to thst of the A-D converter. A block diagram shows three sets of temporary store circuits, and their operation is described. The system can be easily extended to any number of sets. (A.G.W.)
