The interaction between the geomagnetic field (GMF) and the solar corpuscular radiation (SCR) is investigated. Particular attention is given to the effect of variations of the SCR on production of geomagnetic storms and auroras and to the subject of an interface separating the GMF from the SCR. Mathematical treatment of three models for the GMF-SCR interaction are presented. (128 references.) (D.C.W.)
