THE O$sup 16$(t,p$gamma$)O$sup 18$ REACTION

Differential cross sections and proton-gamma angular correlation functions in the reaction plane at six different proton angles are measured for the O/sup 16/(t,p gamma )O/sup 18/ reaction through the first excited state (1.98 Mev) of O/sup 18/, using tritons of energy 5 Mev. The results are analyzed in terms of the plane-wave Born approximation lump'' theory of two-nucleon stripping. (auth)
