PROPOSED EXPERIMENT TO MEASURE EFFECTS OF GROUND ROUGHNESS ON THE DOSE RATE FROM FALLOUT RADIATION
Journal Article
·
· Health Physics (England)
An experiment designed to measure the effects of microscopic ground roughness on dose rates from fallout radiation is described. Existing calculational procedures for predicting these effects are first discussed. The effect of rough ground is then discussed in terms of a correction factor to the angular distribution of radiation above a smooth plane. An experiment designed to measure this correction factor is discussed in detail. (auth)
