HIGH-CURRENT OPERATION OF RCA TYPE 2059 PHOTOMULTIPLIER TUBES

Journal Article · · Rev. Sci. Instr.
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1718087· OSTI ID:4705735

The dynode and photocathode voltages of a group of 5dynode photomultiplier tubes are adjusted individually, in order to make the output current a linear function of the incident light intensity at the cathode. The average values of the dynode and cathode voltages that give the optimal linearity in the characteristics are shown. (T.F.H.)
