Investigations on the dimension of moisture meters, which consist of BF/ sub 3/ counters and Po--Be neutron sources, were carried out. The meters are so constructed that neutron detector and source are arranged directly next to each other and both touch the mnterial to be measured as much as possible. The reflector should enclose the detector and source and consist of iron of approximately 2-cm thickness. (tr-auth)
