It is shown that a weak magnetic field heterogeneity produces a drift in microtron orbit centers and an equilibrium phase shift. Formulas were derived for determining center drifts and equilibrium phase shifts for arbitrary heterogeneity. A concrete case of heterogeneity was examined in order to show that with increased orbit number the drift of orbit centers increases in proportion to the square of the number of orbits, while the shift of the equilibrium phase remains constant when the absolute magnitude of the field heterogeneity is constant. The obtained data are used for determining permissible heterogeneities in microtron fields. (tr-auth)
