CIRCULAR POLARIZATION OF INTERNAL BREMSSTRAHLUNG IN UNIQUE FIRST FORBIDDEN BETA TRANSITIONS

The degree of circular polarization of internal bremsstrahlung quanta accompanying unique first forbidden beta transitions is calculated in the Born approximation using the conventional methods for V-A interaction. Only rough agreement is obtained with experimental data for the ( DELTA J = 2, yes) transition in Y/sup 90/, probably due to inapplicability of the Born approximation to the Y/sup 90/ nucleus.
