>A method is described for manufacturing UO/sub 2/- PuO/sub 2/ compacts by mixing a solution of plutonyl nitrate in hexone with an organic binder, such as polybutyl methacrylate, and a plastifier, such as dibutylphtalate, adding UO/ sub 2/ powder, drying and granulating the mass, and finally compacting and sintering the powder.
