THE CROSS SECTION OF THE Li$sup 7$(n,t) REACTION FOR NEUTRON ENERGIES BETWEEN 3.5 AND 15 Mev

Journal Article · · J. Nucl. Energy, Pt. A & B

The Li/sup 7/(n,t) reaction cross section is measured for energies between 3.5 and 15 Mev, using an activation method involving the extraction and counting of residual tritium. The cross section is found to increase sharply from an effective threshold of 4 Mev to the value of approximately 360 mb at 6 Mev, remaining constant at this value up to the highest energy measured.
