EVALUATION METHOD FOR ABSOLUTE MEASURING OF COMPOUNDS LABELLED WITH C$sup 14$ WITHIN SCINTILLATING LIQUIDS (in German)

It is possible, using a scintillation counter, to determine the absolute decay rate of C/sup 14/-labeled compounds in liquid scintillators, even for strongly quenched materials, with a maximum error of about plus or minus 3%. The length of time for a test amounted to about 30 min. The process can be extended to other BETA emitters (for example S/sup 35/). (tr-auth)
