Preliminary results on a possibie large scale P/sup 32/ production method are described. The target material was S that was purified by sublimation at least 4 times. It was then irradiated at a thermal neutron flux of 10/sup 10/ n/cm/sup 2//sec for 30 hr over a period of 5 to 6 days. The P/sup 32/ separation was carried out several days later and it was found best to use the dry distillation method. Analysis was made by paper chromatography. Part of the S/ sup 35/ present was removed by an anion exchange column. The P/sup 32/ thus prepared, however, still contained up to 0.1% of S/sup 35/ and needed to be purified further. (OID)
