THE POLYALKALINE EARTH URANATES Sr$sub 2$UO$sub 5$ AND Ca$sub 2$UO$sub 5$

Journal Article · · Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry (England) Merged with Inorg. Nucl. Chem. Lett. to form Polyhedron
The calcium and strontium compounds were prepared by the solid state reactions: CaUO/sub 4/ + Ca/sub 3/U0/sub 6/ yields Ca/sub 2/UO/s ub 5/ at 975 deg C in air, and SrUO/sub 4/ + Sr/sub 3/UO/sub 6/ yields Sr/sub 2/UO/sub 5/ at 1 000 deg C in air. The structures of Ca/sub 2/UO/sub 5/ and Sr/sub 2/UO/sub 5/ were studied in some detail, and the structural parameters are given. (D.L.C.)
