Results are reported for gas chromatographic studies of radiolysis products C/sub 8/ and greater from the x-irradiation of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane. The C₈ and C₉ products with a total G value of 0.53 could be identified individually and are tabulated. The C₁₁ to C₁₆ products were at least 24 in number and had a total G value of 1.15. The residual radiolysis product apparently was C₁₂ to C₁₆. The unsaturation in the products was also studied. It is suggested that the largest molecular products are due to dimerization of two C₈ components. (D.L.C.)
