NEUTRON SCATTERING ON CRYSTALS WITH IMPURITY NUCLEI AND THE PROBLEM OF RECONSTRUCTION OF THE VIBRATIONAL SPECTRUM (in Russian)

Neutron scattering on crystals of arbitrary symmetry with isolated impurity atoms is considered. The cross sections for coherent and incoherent scattering corresponding to single-quantrum excitations in the system are determined. The problem of separating that part of the incoherent cross section which is connected with scattering on impurity atoms and on the surrounding perturbation regions is analyzed. It is demonstrated that this part of the cross section contains direct information on the nature of the impurity atom vibrations and information on the frequency density distribution function of the phonon spectrum of an ideal crystal.
