A PROGRAMMED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AUTOMATIC NEUTRON SPECTROMETER

The automatic control and programming system of the neutron spectrometer which is fitted to the MERLIN reactor is described. The system allows a complete experiment involving up to 600 angular positions and four specimens to be pre- programmed and carried out automatically. The control logic and circuitry are described.
