ON DETERMINATION OF RADICAL YIELD IN RADIOLYSIS OF DIISOPROPYL ETHER IN REACTION WITH FeCl$sub 3$ ACCEPTRO (in Russian)

The yield of free radicals in diisopropyl ether was determined using freshiy prepared FeCl/sub 3/ in 2.5 x 10/sup -4/ to 1.5x 10/sup -3/ mole/l concentration irradiated at 25 450 deg C in a 1 un. Concent 85% C by 2.2 x 10/ sup 14/ to 8 x 10/sup 15/ ev/ml. sec doses. It is shown that at high radiation doses the reduction yield of Fe(III) does not reach a maximum. The yield of Fe(III) at low doses reaches a maximum G(--Fe III) = 13.5 equiv/100 ev. (R.V.J.)
