The effect of betatron oscillations on the revolution frequency of particles in isochronous cyclotrons was investigated. A formula for the relation of the betatron oscillation amplitude to the particle revolution frequency was presented. Analysis of the results indicates that the basic cause bringing about such non-isochronous phenomenon was the increase in the average magnetic field along the radius. The effect of varying the azimuthal magnetic field was negligible. It is noted that the minimum voltage between the D's was amplified by this effect. (tr-auth)
