Some questions of particle dynamics in isochronous sector cyclotron (in Russian)

The accelerated motion of particles in the median plane of the isochronous cyclotron was examined. The accelerating slits are considered infinitely narrow. The concept of an ideal trajectory, precession oscillations, was introduced. A system of linear equations describing the phase and betatron oscillations of this trajectory with reference to the corresponding ideal trajectory is derived and investigated. By means of the step model the results obtained could be represented in the form of simple analytical formulas giving the amplitudes of the oscillations and the energy of the particles in dependence on the original conditions and the number of revolutions. It was shown that the silts do not lead to dangerous resonances. The fuctor epsilon /W, equal to the rate of change of relative growth of the kinetic energy at the moment of intersection of the slit of the ideal trajectory, leads to a logarithmic accumulation of the energy dispersion of the bunch. However, in the quantitative respect this effect can be distinguished from others. (tr-auth)
