A phase diagram study of the PuO/sub 2/- ZrO/sub 2/ system was conducted. A single-phase face-centered cubic solid solution was found from pure PuO/sub 2/ to 77 mole% ZrO/sub 2/, while the region from 77 to 99.8 moie% ZrO/sub 2/ contains two phases, monoclinic ZrO/sub 2/ and a face-centered cubic 77 mole% ZrO/ sub 2/ solid solution. The liquidus and solidus points were found to be indistinguishable from each other. (D.L.C.)
