ON THE CREEP OF TITANIUM-ZIRCONIUM-TIN ALLOYS (in Russian)

The rate of creep of Ti--Ti/sub 3/ Sn-- Zr solid solutions was studied at elevated temperatures. The creep-composition diagram was correlated with the constitution diagram, and an hypothesis on the influence of phase transformation alpha ( gamma ) yields BETA temperatures on creep was confirmed. It was also shown that combined Zr and Sn alloying of alpha Ti is more effective in creep stabilization than separate alloying. (R.V.J.)
