Design features are described for an inexpensive, demountable shielded room for clinical measurements in lowlevel tracer studies and determinations of body burdens of radioactivity. Chalk containing up to 99% calcium carbonate, in 50 lb polyethylene and paper bags was used for shielding. The construction, comparative studies of the shielding provided, and illustrative measurements on human subjects are described. (C.H.)
